Analyst / Executive, Corporate Development

Position Summary

The Analyst / Executive, Corporate Development is responsible for assisting in the review and development of business plans, enterprise valuation models and management slideshow presentations for existing business ventures and new business opportunities. The person occupying this position is expected to carry out rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis and communicate orally and in writing the results and outcomes of such analyses in a logical and articulate manner. The Analyst / Executive can expect extensive interaction with management personnel from different functions of the group and also participate in strategic planning and corporate development initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities

• To carry out research and studies on prospective ventures and business opportunities including country research, company research, country foreign investment and exchange control policies, and tax regime/legislation.
• To assist in preparation of financial models for potential investments / new ventures and coordination with various functions within the group to establish options on the commercial and/or financing structure for potential investments / new ventures.
• To assist in preparation business analysis reports for managed service contracts of the group.
• To assist in preparation business reporting templates to suit management requirement to monitor progress of business plan.
• To assist in the preparation of and process coordination for business plans and accompanying financial forecasts, budgets and projections of the group and attend to their subsequent periodic revisions and updates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance, Professional accounting qualification, Quantitative Analysis or equivalent.
• Preferably with 2 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance, financial advisory/consultancy or business analysis.
• Fresh graduates with excellent results are also encouraged to apply.

Essential Skills

• Understanding of business operations in mobile value added services environment will be advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge in financial modeling and advanced charting skills especially with MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous and systematic.
