Software Development Team Lead

Position Summary

The Development Team Lead in Mobilization is expected to lead a team of software engineers, and together they are responsible for maintaining, building and enhancing the proprietary software that make up our solutions and products’ portfolio targeting mobile telecoms network operators and mobile content end users at various countries. This position entails involvement in constant new product developments as well as adaption activities on existing software which is in line with the company business direction. As a team lead strong leadership skill and sense of business is therefore required for this position.

Principal Responsibilities

• To contribute experience, knowledge and manpower to complex software development projects and providing task directions to other members of the team in line with the broader directions of project management.
• To develop technology/technical solutions for mobile premium services, mobile content businesses, mobile advertising/marketing businesses, mobile and web applications.
• To devise development roadmaps and/or recommend suggestions to improve and enhance the current processes and performance of solutions to further improve the performance and features enhancement of solutions.
• To manage development tasks and build technical capabilities among team members including managing adequate technical training to technical team members to ensure job satisfaction and promote professionalism amongst team members.
• To work closely with various stakeholders, such as operators, gateway providers and online affiliates for system connectivity in various countries in line with the business expansion.
• To monitor and ensure the stability of the system on daily basis to avoid any service disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experiences in Mobile Application development and Web Enterprise Portal (e.g Liferay Portal, Jboss Portal) development are definite advantage.

Essential Skills

• Excellent command on Java, Javascript and experience in JQuery, JSP, AJAX or HTML.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix system is a must – core operating administration and scripting.
• Creative thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation and problem solving skill.
• Multi-task different projects simultaneously.
